For those of you who are my friends on Facebook, you may recall my post the other day about the posting of videos of babies being beaten. It is something that I know is a huge problem in the world, but what is posting the video on Facebook going to solve? The truth is, all you ever read on Facebook or see on the news is the negative things in the world. That being said, let me give you a positive story.
This morning, the boys did not wake up until 9:15... not complaing!!!... so when i woke up, I was in a rush to get ready to go to class. I got ready in a hurry, and stopped by McDonalds to get a little something to eat before heading to Glasgow. I ordered my Egg White Delight and Large Coke and drove up to the window to pay, and there I was told that the lady in front of me paid for my breakfast. This made me so happy. After reading about shootings, robberies, and seeing video after video of babies being beaten, and puppies being thrown in rivers, it was nice to see a little glimpse of LOVE. This also got me thanking, how many times have we posted on Facebook or Twitter about the bad service we received, or how we wish we had more time to ourselves because our lives are filled with school, work, children, and laundry.
This week, I challenge you to show a little glimpse of LOVE and see what kind of difference it makes in your life. And try to post good things about your life. Say thank you to your spouse for changing a dirty diaper, say thank you to your babysitter for watching your children day after day while you're at work, thank GOD for allowing you to have a job to go to, the ability to go to school, your wonderful children, and a house to hold that laundry, and maybe pay for the person's meal that's in the car behind you. It just may make somebodies gloomy day a little bit brighter!
