Birthdays, Gymnastics, and Twisters

Boy oh boy, did we ever have a busy weekend.

First of all... Phill worked 56 hours this week... so it was pretty much me and the boys all week. He was suppose to be off work on Saturday, but had to go in at 6:00 in the morning. As soon as he got home, I left to go watch my little cousin's first gymnastics competition of the year. She's only 10 years old, but man is she good! She can already do her back handspring... which I find pretty darn impressive. I was there until 5pm and then came home to spend a few hours with my boys until bedtime.

Sunday was a hot mess... We got up and got ready for church... then was LATE for church, so we went on to Connie and Kevin's for Aunt Susan birthday. **I think we're going to start going to early service, cause regular service is right at the boys' nap time, so it is near impossible to get everybody ready for church and be there in time.** Anyway, once we were there, we tried to lay the boys down for a nap, which was a huge fail... since they slept the whole way there... so we had to deal with very cranky babies for the rest of the day. We did however, manage to get down some yummy chili and chocolate cake! ;) I got to spend some time with my sweet niece and nephew, which is always a good thing! We went and rented Monster University for Jayden and Madison to watch, which I think the adults watched more of than the kids! lol

On our way home, we noticed that it was looking rough out, and about that time, I got a text message that we were under a severe t-storm warning, so we rushed to get home and as soon as we pulled into our drive way, the cowbells started going off.... OH NO!!! So, we didn't waste a second, we drove over to the apartment next to ours and got in the basement. Yup, this was the boys' first run-in with a twister! Although we never got any severe damage or anything, it was still scary. Tornadoes were bad before, but now they're even worse since I have the boys to worry about. It was all over by about 5:30 and we went home and finished off our Sunday Funday with some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and baths!

On a lighter note, I finally can say I have dissected something!!! Monday, in A&P, we got to dissect sheep brains. I know to some it's totally gross, but omg i loved it!!! Looking forward to next week, we'll be dissecting eye balls!!!

UPDATE on my handsome little fellers: Conner now has his first tooth!!! :)))) yayyyy!!!  I love seeing them grow and change everyday... but it's all happening too fast!
